Towing trailers in mud is what I need it for but you’re right, the tyres I have will probably be fine, they’re Michelins too and I’ve never had a poor product from them.

Been the shops in it today, cut out the supermarkets, go straight to the farm, better stuff and some Christmas cheer😁

Enjoy her, she looks good in white and very Tonka like compared to the other colours I have seen them in and those rims really help the macho Tonka look santarudy and away from the squashed looking Revoque thingy...

White was the only no-cost option, I was determined not to spend anything on unnecessary extras, it even has cloth seats, the fabric is some sort of modern version of that indestructible Dralon you got on a70s sofa.

That's interesting about the no cost bit and it will be good to see how it fares as your workhorse, if it goes as well as it looks she'll see you right thumbs

I like the steel wheels but I’d rather have fat, chunky Goodridge tyres, those road tyres look lame, they seem to do the job for now though, they’ll certainly manage to bump up a kerb outside Starbucks which is all these cars are usually bought for 😂
Perhaps the rust is the only British element left on a landrover, I’ve no idea where it was built but it wasn’t England, they sent an email last week to tell me it was at the docks so either it has a seedy secret habit or it arrived on a tea clipper or Banana boat.

Slovakia I believe.

Son, who has not need for a hugs 4x4 has just bought one.

I’ve been enjoying roving the land and defending stuff but I’ve been out gunned by my daughter today, this really does make it look like a Tonka toy!

That's a great shot Ewan but I hope you don't give her all the sh0t jobs santarudy They stink the place out down here when we have the windows open when they are discharging fermented grass just out the back of ours snowgrin

Luckily a lot of local farms are using this dry odourless fertilizer, recycled human kit.

It’s not just the stink, all my favourite little (unsalted) roads are plastered with mud, I’m ashamed to say, for the this first week at least, I’ve become one of those idiots who don’t like to get their tyre tread and mud flaps smudged!😂

Great image Ewan and that of aspects of your daughters skill set... Power to her elbow.. (-:

I bought this place over 40 years ago, it`s previous owner had only recently given up pig farming in the premises, which was located in a pig farming area of smallholdings.... When those guys spread the manure on the fields, you could taste it... Though boiling the residue of many unfinished restaurant meals for pig feed was not quite as bad, and Mud on the road would seem perhaps preferable... (-:
Foot & mouth ended the last of the piggeries in this area, and around that time I suspect SEPA might have had an eye on changing the habit of spraying pig manure on the fields in the hope of increasing grazing and winter feed for the same cattle, which would be bought at a time after the hay had been taken off.

Yeah being a Luddite there are aspects of the old days and ways that I miss, and converting fields to doggy day care areas, perhaps may not provide the same variety around the place as it as was when the older farming cycles determined much towards life`s everyday experiences...Much to the pleasure of ever expanding suburbia and it`s inhabitants when they got wind of the manure spreading processes....(-:

Sorry Howard no Ferraris mentioned... (-:
