Lets give them one more chance , let them get back to what they were good at all those years ago.
Saying that my Dad would love to see Top Gear end he reckons they ruined Rover's chances of success with a really bad road test of the 75 !

Personally I stopped watching when they:
1. Turned it into a lads mag program, I am surprised they dont have more scantilily clad ladies on the show.
2. How they wrecked a Dolomite Sprint, now I am a lover of Triumphs but taking a good example and scrapping it in their tests it made me cry.
3. Turning a Herald convertible into a boat, see above.
4. Dropping piano's onto Marinas. Now I am not a Marina fan but there are not many left on the road, we are talking 10's not even 100's according to the DVLA, yes it was a pretty poor car in its day but it does represent British motoring heritage. And I am sure someone loves them as I love Triumphs (and Morgans of course and Jags for that matter).
I think really it is not a motoring program any more, it the Clarkson three having fun at the expense of the licence payer.
It may be successful but I am afraid its no longer for me.

PS I agree with Andymacs Dad, I am sure they did more than anybody to kill off Rover

PS - I abhor seeing the destruction of any classic car, but especially when I'm paying for it through the licence fee.

At the end of the day it has been Clarkson's mouthpiece for years and subjective opinion is presented as fact. What I hate most is others who regurgitate it as if it is wholly correct, or quote Top Gear lap times as if it's real world Top Trumps. Load of rubbish and the cars that get the most stick don't deserve to, i.e. recently the Jag XKRS, decried for being a 'training shoe' from a car that was never designed as such. So sayeth the man who bought a CLK 63, which is exactly the same principle. He's full of dermot, a massive hypocrite and would say anything so long as it was 'entertaining'.
