Have a US spec 1997 Plus 8.
Been a bad winter for me physically. Right side rotator cuff torn and Docs say no repair (82 year old cardiac guy). Halloween night I missed a step in the garage. Fell hard and broke my left arm just below the ball & socket. Not the brightest of outlooks. Both Docs say that I probably not get either arm above nipple height again.
Is it time to say goodbye to the Morgan, or is there a cost effective quality add-on power assist system out there?.

Thomas I think you may have posted this in the wrong forum for best effect, I am assuming from the age yours is a traditional chassis based model.
The Plus 8 referred to in the title is the Aero/BMW V8 cars and so most people following this thread will not be as practiced in your model.
I would recommend using the maintenance thread or the classics thread to find the best sources of knowledge.

[ Sorry to hear of your misfortune and wish you well for recovery, meantime I'd contact Dennis Glavis at for best advise on your side of the pond.The CX chassis come standard with PAS if that is dooable..

This is what you need, period: https://www.ezpowersteering.co.uk/Transforms the car, increased handling, security, comfort. Not cheap, but absolutely worth it, in spite of me not having any physical disability. Dutch company, but I have sent you the english version of their website. Fitted on many cars that I know of, all very happy. Wether it is is enough to compensate for your disability, I would not know. It will not be like the PAS on say - a Mercedes, but very good indeed. Try EZ electric power assisted steering (EPAS) Link Below. EZ EPASThey have a dealer in the USA called American Powertrain. Cookeville Tennessee. Link Below American PowertrainEZ have done quite a few Morgans in their time and should be able to advise their US Dealer on the way forward. I fitted their system to my 2009 Roadster and have been very pleased.
