Hi,
Can anyone give me any pointers or help please?

I am swapping out my standard manifold on my 2009 4/4 with the Sigma engine to fit a Librands Sports manifold and hit 2 problems!

First I don't seem to be able to remove the old manifold / Cat, it doesn't want to come out?
No matter how I twist and turn it there just doesn't seem to be a route out of the wing hole / engine bay?
I really don't want to have to cut it in half......has anybody done this on here who might know the secret.

Secondly, my car has 2 O2 sensors, one before the Cat and one after the Cat.
The Librands only has a port which is before the Cat, is this going to be a problem?

I have had the Williams sports remap installed into the ECU but have no idea if that illiminates the need for the second O2 sensor?

Librands suggested that this manifold fits straight on.....I'm nolonger so sure

Has anyone been here and done this?

I know for the +4 remap you have to cut the manifold to get it out but can't help on the 4/4.

I recall a remap may be required on ECU to negate post CAT O2 sensor presence and so avoid fault code. This because before and after sensors are used collectively to monitor CAT performance. Might it already been done in your last remap though

Thanks guys, I have just had a call from Williams Autos, it's Sunday AND it's New Years Eve, how good a customer service is that

Apparently the manifold does come out as a whole. but its very tricky and fiddly....I should have asked does it come out up into the engine bay or down through into the wing. He was in his kitchen preparing dinner so i don't want to call him back

There should also be an 02 blanking plug somewhere in the kit, he is going to send me across a fitting instruction sheet.

Here's a big hats off to Williams for customer support over a bank holiday weekend

Not the same thing but on the GDI, the manifold only comes off when the cam cover is removed. So I cut mine in half to get it out.

I have now managed to get the old one out but still struggling to get the new one in now!

When Jay says "The manifold can then easily be fed up into the inner wing aperture if it is turned around 180 degrees as in the photo." do you think that means feeding it in from the under the wheel arch and into the engine bay? I've been trying to feed it down from the engine bay the same way as the other one came out!

If anyone can see the photos could they just clarify for me please

Getting the old O2 sensors off is proving tough too, I've left them with a generous squirting of penetrating oil over night now !

I read it as the manifold is being inserted from under the wing.

I have Williams' sports manifold which IIRC has just one sensor and I also have their remap on my sigma so you should be fine.
