Can anyone recommend a company that does brake caliper refurbishment? This is for a 1969 4/4 - so a Girling 64032269/70. type 14 caliper (I think).

Hi, Try Past Parts, Bury St Edmonds, they rebuilt brake and clutch masters for my TR4, I believe they do brake calipers as well.

Thanks, unfortunately they are rather busy - 6-8 week turnaround - but, at least from their website, they look very professional..,,

Thanks, unfortunately they are rather busy - 6-8 week turnaround - but, at least from their website, they look very professional..,, I've used Past Parts, very good service, boost pressure tested after the repair too, I've found PP tend to turn round work ahead of the date quoted (unlike some others who make promises and fail, but you're bu66ered as they have your vital parts)

Past Parts are great, and really nice folks. But if you want it back next week, just use Bigg Red. Fixed price service, and they did a pair of type 14s for me a few weeks ago, using their 'standard' service.. https://www.biggred.co.uk/remanufactureCheers, Colin

If you fancy a DIY approach, they are not that difficult to do and you don't even need to split the caliper to get the pistons in or out
