Mes feux rouges d'Aero 8 de 2010 étant cassés je les ai réparés avec un produit BLUFIXX qui se polymerise avec une lampe led à UV. Efficace et rapide.

I think I saw that repair on the Facebook group - very good job.

Is that an offer? wink

Absolutely

I seem to be getting a reputation for sourcing and sorting Aero 8 spares that the factory no longer want to supply...

Simon, I'm sure your efforts are appreciated. It's a shame that Morgan customer support is non-existent...

Unfortunately Simon of SiFab has not been trading this year as already noted elsewhere on TM. A great loss frown

Thankfully by it's very presence TM provides a huge range of contributed self support for Morgan owners.

Holy thread bump Batman - etc. laugh2

I found out earlier speaking to a Lucas specialist that the only difference between L795/L794 is the bulb, i.e. single or dual filament - the actual lens and units are the same. They just come in different colours, which means usually certain ones such as the reverse only come as a L794 as they use a single filament bulb - etc.

May be of use to someone, also the lens and units are widely available from WH Motor Spares - contactable on 01952 605115.

The only bits that seem to be harder to source are those internal metal reflectors, WH Motor Spares used to supply plastic versions of these (to stop them corroding) so a real shame Simon is not able to recreate these. Still its a pretty simple shape so I can't imagine it would be hard for anyone with the right machinery to make a batch..

Something of a minefield Nick but hope this clears up the Lucas variants available:
L794 single filament/contact BA15s base
L795/L691 double filament/contact BAY15d base (usually supplied with lens and integral reflector)

To which can be fitted the following lens available in clear, red and amber:
L691 series lens with pointed shape
L794/5 series lens, deeper flatter front which accomodates integral reflector requiring longer screws

FWIW my Roadster and other trads 2014 onwards standard spec ex factory uses:
L794 front base and lens in amber for indicator
L794 rear base with L691 amber lens for indicator
L795/L691 rear base with L691 red lens for stop/tail

If you need to change lens screws for stainless maybe, the thread is 6-32 UNC.

For completeness the Cobra brake repeater on trads employs the smaller diameter L760 base and lens with the latter available in red or clear.

Not confirmed but the Cobra re-introduced on latest CX models appears to use same diameter as other rear lamps.

It's a simple enough job to fit the larger L795 unit to the Cobra.

Thanks Richard, that is very useful information!
I don't suppose you know anywhere that stocks those stainless screws? I went to a specialist who provided me some, they seemed to screw in and fit the threads but when tightened slipped - so obviously not quite correct!

cheers
