I think the mechanical fuel pump (carbs) delivers about 3-5psi, so something around that ball park should be OK.
Rimmers say: We also stock a Facet electric fuel pump, designed to fit in the engine bay. Suitable as a replacement for any carb vehicle, including Edelbrock or Holley-equipped, it delivers 4-5psi pressure. It is therefore not suitable for EFi.

I used a Facet pump with an adjustable pressure regulator on my racer when it had a previous carbed engine ... never a moment's problem and, as TBM says, not expensive. Set at 3.5 psi it all worked well.
