I have to admit that when I bought the Mog I also bought a reg number for it, to remove the age related plate and replace it with just three letters and three numbers, which was a tad more fitting with my pseudo Vintage appeal causing me to chose a Morgan as a replacement recreational vehicle... At the time I paid out a few bob, but not quite as much as mentioned in this thread...
I suspect Bill`s Morgan mods where an LS" was involved would have required an educated right foot..? I watch an American custom car show on TV show on DMAX channel 39 at 17:00 most evenings, Kindig Customs, where craftsmen customise all sorts of vehicles... It seems one of my friends has been somewhat taken with the US custom scene, as he bought an old US truck and is customising it similar to the one in the vid link below.... The engine chosen is a Coyote unit, and not quite satisfied with the power output of that... he has bought a supercharger to fit to it..... I suspect he may not lower it to the "killer stance" of the truck in the vid, which seems to suggest he has not lost all sense of practicality.... Though we did fit a LS2 into a Triumph Slag.. The thought of one such in a trad Morgan seems OTT jeez the circa 150 horses (on a good day) in mine is enough to see loss of rear end grip on occasion...!!!
Personally, I'd build a hospital, but that's probably why I'll never be a millionaire
Although I've never funded one, I've built / refurbed quite a few, because I care about a pukka finish & delivery on time = VERY stressful and not to be recommended !
Here is an interesting 2021 M3W: Hemmings $100K 2021 M3Whttps://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/listing/2021-morgan-3-wheeler-walnut-ca-2758386
The seller claims this was one of only 5 M3Ws built after the P101 series, and thus, is asking $100K for it and is "firm" on the price.
I think he is a bit off on his production numbers. If true, I would have one of the other 4 M3Ws sold in 2021, but I understand Morgan actually purchased approximately 100 extra engines from S&S for production through the summer of 2021. This is a 110yr edition, which my dealer said he tried and couldn't get on my M3W, since they had already stopped making those cars. So this may be early in the 2021 production schedule, if not a 2020 build.
Not BAT but this popped up on my FB feed .... just 25 miles up the road and the seller and I even have a couple of mutual petrolhead FB friends ... never knew it existed 🙂
