On the Jaguar units, I thought the same and at the bottom of the page there does appear to be the same unit but unbranded if I read it correctly.

On the Becker (both models) Malcolm's comments are correct.
The small dot based user interface does limit what can be displayed.
If you do try and use the SatNav it comes up like a small bike unit with simple arrows, it is off line-of-sight so not easy.
Maps are outdated with no traffic stuff. Once you have used Waze it would be very frustrating.
I would discount this capability.

If you do happen to just want a decent looking CD/radio (not DAB on most of the S/hand stock) and iPod/Cabled then it is fine. This will give you directions through the speakers over the music so works pretty well with a sucker or mag mount for your phone. It is enough for me in the Series2 but in the Coupe (which I use for work visits) I wanted more and so I went full technowobble and fitted a Sony floating unit which most of the board would probably kill me for doing.

I went through the same process with my Coupe. I do use it for business and so wanted to have something I could use as part of my Apple bubble.

I looked at a 1DIN bluetooth head unit for volume knob and amp. I was then going to use my iPhone via Bluetooth and just run everything on this. I don't use the radio that much and the head unit could provide that much. The rest came from the iPhone which was on a Mag-charge mount for power and safety/compliance with the road laws. I do this in the Mercedes and it works great.

The second approach was a hidden bluetooth amp driving the speakers and the iPhone just linked to this directly. Again a mag-mount for the iPhone on the dash. The issue with this is volume levels as the volume buttons on the side of the iPhone are not practical to use when moving so without the modern steering-wheel controls or knob on the amp it did not really work.

Given how small the windscreen is and not wanting to obstruct the view when driving I looked at having an iPad mini just for the car. Your Apple account allows things like "answer call on iPad" so this works for bringing it through the car kit. I found some mounts that fit to the front bolt on the seat mount. A pole and then a swan neck adjustable section allowed me to position it out of the way but high enough to be in line of sight. At that time I could not find a mag mount charging solution so it would have been a bit of a rotter constantly taking it in and out plus the charge cable. But the iPad Mini screen was a great size for sat nav and big buttons (adjust the button size in settings) and it slaved to the iPhone so no need for 2 SIMs etc.

Many of the Coupes did have an amp fitted, it took ages to find mine and it is not what I would call an upmarket unit.

I have a good picture of the front door speakers that Ale72 sent me.
I can send you a photo of the Floater I have fitted for interest (by DM to avoid having a contract taken out on me) if you want. It does work very well.

I am not to far from Bucks if you want to swap notes. (A34/A303 Junction)

Different set up obviously, but in my 4/4 I have an amplifier under the passenger seat connected to the speakers I installed behind the seats in the side panels. It connects via BT to my phone that sits on a mag mount between the seats.

I have a small remote button thing that connects to the my phone via BT that controls volume/play/pause and track forward/back. It's on the dash and within easy reach.

My head unit is hidden in the footwell on the aero and I've overcome that problem with one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Satechi-Bl...mp;mcid=1f1a9cf773383a37964920fecb706a73

Works perfectly well and looking at adding one of these to the aero for the summer https://beeline.co/pages/beeline-moto

Nick I went to send you a DM and it informed me that you are over your max limit of PM's. You might want to delete a few.
