Hello All,
I'm not sure which forum to post this on but I thought that most folk look at this one. I'm trying to load a different avatar but it doesn't work. The jpeg image I'm using is 99 x 79 pixels and is 16K. Any thoughts?

Best Regards

You need to change the suffix to .jpg Bob. I think you will find there are no image size limits despite the software suggesting there is.

Thank you Richard. I'm sorry to say that didn't work.
BtW - How do you get rid of the smiley after your forum name? Cheers.

Bob. Are you hosting your image on TM-IMG? If so, I'm afraid it won't work, even if your file has a .jpg extension the TM-IMG site changes it to .jpeg

You can change the "smiley face" by clicking on it in the top-right corner of the site, next to your name.

Edit: I was going to add a link to where this was discussed recently but I see you seem to have posted the answer there yourself Bob...

Ian,
I'm not hosting it, I'm just uploading it from my desktop. I want to get rid of the smiley like RichardV6, not change it but thanks for the hints.

You can change it to "none" Bob, as I have just done!

Mine is hosted on TM-IMG but i do remember having a tussle with it.
I think I translated it to a png format in my machine (using paint) then uploaded it to TM-IIM¬G and used the link from there.

I tried hosting it on TM-IMG as a .jpg but it changes it to .jpeg. I also tried hosting on TM-IMG as a .gif but it comes back with "Wrong type of image"!! I can't even go back to my original image. Hey. Ho.

Bob If you want to PM me I am more than happy to sort it out for you.
I will test it against my own ID and then forward you the link to insert.

If you want to then PM me and we can exchange emails (in private so those evil people on the Interweb don't steal and abuse them)
Should not take more than five minutes.
