Not often I’m bothered by celebrities passing but I’ve a soft spot for Steve Wright, I’ve enjoyed his radio since my youth and still liked Sunday live songs.

Truly a sad loss. I was driving back from a noggin this afternoon and thought to myself how much I missed his afternoon show. All the real characters seem to have gone with the possible exception of Sarah Cox. I've never quite worked out why I like her but I think it's because she's possibly mad (in a nice way).

I remember taking a radio into work way back so I could listen to his afternoon show which was so funny and at the time unique. Mellowed over the years and his style was often imitated but never bettered in my opinion. I wonder if he's with 'the old woman' now?

A part of my life for so many years. I gave up on Radio 2 afternoons after he left.
What a great guy and what a loss to family, friends and his thousands of fans, of which I was one.

My first ever job - bench engineer in Basingstoke - Steve (the chief engineer in the company) used to put all the phone lines on busy for his morning show and we all laughed.
Was it him that used to phone one take-away and ask a question and then cross connect it to another one and wait until they worked out what was going on?
I listened to his stuff on and off for years.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
