Out of curiosity today I measured the voltage between the T and the ali rad cooling fins. It was showing around 1v, which is about 3 times more than the other stainless pipework in the cooling system is generating (there are many grades of stainless with a range of different noble potentials). Now I’m suspecting that introducing this grade of stainless is not an ideal mix for the longevity of my super expensive ali rad from a galvanic perspective. I could well be wrong... but have ordered up an aluminum T anyway.

Now that Si-fab is no more, where do you source from? Can’t see any on Fleabay or carbuilder.

I've got to get around to changing that T this winter. Rog does the link show the size required?

If I can't buy a welded one I shall make one, but my tig welding is not too good so I might take the fun way out and make from solid.

I’ve just ordered this one John. As far as I can see the link shows it. Fingers crossed it should be ok! My internal hose diameters are around 16mm.

Much appreciated, Rog.
However, will wait and see how it fits before getting one. I saw them on fleabay when looking but was a little wary of the diameter of the barb versus the more tapered, multi barbed designs.
The Viper ones suggested by Geoff are multi barbed though a tad more expensive., when adding on postage etc.
Be good to have a report back when done. Thanks.

I would go with the Viper multi barbed one. Plain ones with just the one lip can be difficult to get a water tight seal on especially with old hoses.

No problem Doug.

Don't think it will be an issue. It’s the same shape/profile as the other spouts the hose connects to on the car - thermostat, header tank, head outlet manifold etc.
