Thinking of a tour this year taking in The Mumbles and The Gower. Any recommendations regarding accommodation and secure parking? 🤔😊

Almost too much choice of places to stay in the Gower. Have a look at:- https://www.visitswanseabay.com/listings/where-to-stay/gower/I'm not at all worried about secure parking in the Gower, don't even lock the car.

I live in Llanelli just across the estuary from North Gower. I regularly drive to Mumbles/Gower. There are plenty of places to stay from hotels to B&B. Living close means I don’t need accommodation so can’t comment. Mumbles is nice with pubs, restaurants down to the pier area. It can get busy there in summer but plenty of car parks. Touring Gower is great. South Gower has beaches that are superb. I like Oxwich which is a stunning bay and has a hotel with its own car parking. I go there a lot for the free parking ( I use the hotel for snacks, coffee etc and walk the beach/coast with the dog. The public carpark is pay to use. Further afield you have Port Eynon with a beach, coast walks, nice pub (The Ship). Rhossili is great with cliff walks overlooking Llangennith beach and access to Worms head across a causeway ( tide permitting but don’t get it wrong! North Gower has Penclawdd ( famous for cockles) That is a very brief travel-log! There’s much more. Besides Gower you might have time to go inland to Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and beyond. Just factor in the 20 mph zones for travel times! When are you thinking of going? It might be possible to meet up. If you want any info get in touch.

It looks lovely from the wet side - steamed past there on the PS Waverley last summer. Hopefully will do it again later this year

Gower trip is a good plan with the Brecon Beacons - had a few fab days last year playing with the Plus Six on the Llyn peninsula - time to head south. Any castles? ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2024/02/22/A2409AC6-6E7F-4E4F-904E-A98675C8E18D.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2024/02/22/71DDC45E-14D0-44E2-97A8-ABAB15582B23.jpg)

Takes me back ... spent my teenage/early 20s living on the lleyn above Clynnog Fawr .... have staggered round Caernarfon Castle a few time on a Saturday night 😁
Still have family there ... some lovely spots, and still places you can get away from the crowds off the beaten track.

Gower trip booked in for next week - any road recommendations from Ross-on-Wye to the Mumbes across Brecon Beacons with a return trip from Gower up to Malvern?
