My black painted wires instantly show the dirt. The stainless wires from MWS were great & easy to clean.

You could also try Tudor Wheels who are not too far from you in Cadnam. They mainly restore wheels, but could probably advise on suppliers, fitters etc.

The stainless wire wheels on my +8 are 30 years old, still look great with 63000 miles on them. They take quite a beating as I live on and they are often driven on dusty dirty mountain dirt tracks which are a hazard of living in rural Colorado.

I looked seriously at Turrinos for my Plus 4, and chatted to them at Silverstone, but the price is HUGE!

But they look amazing.

i would recommend MWS. Nice bunch. I have only ever used them to balance my wire wheels (which some 'expert' tyre fitter said needed replacing as he could not balance them). I arrived and before I could finish the coffee they gave me the job was done on all 4 wheels. Experts.

Chrome wires are a disaster. They rust and are uneconomical to re-chrome. You can't paint them as the flaking chrome pulls the paint off. Painted wires rust as the spokes move in the rims breaking the paint surface. Stainless wires, fit & forget.
I changed my painted wires for MWS stainless in 2007, I wash them once a year whether they need it or not and they still look great.

Are stainless wire wheels available from MWS in the same size with the same offset as the painted wires which were used for the Sigma 4/4? I said the stainless wires were too heavy but that were such for the Roadster. Narrower ones should be lighter anyway.

4/4 stainless wires are available from MWS Heinz.
The dimensions of all their wires are shown on a separate tab.

At some point MWS used stainless spokes on Chrome wires so now only the rims are Chrome.

Has anyone who likes painted wires (like me!🙂) painted or powder coated a set of stainless wheels? .... best of both worlds?
