In Chesterfield Market Square, every Monday morning, a group of classics turn up...for free!!! and stand around nattering, drinking coffee and having a very sociable time...this morning in the group were three Mogs, a replica Frogeye, TR4, motor bikes, a scooter, big pick-up truck, Ginetta something....plus others....Come along!

Looked on Google maps - showing three different dates but all show the square full of market stalls - have the stalls gone?

No, stalls still there...the classic cars park in the western end of the market square. The West Bars end...

I suspect the gatherings mentioned in the news are perhaps just the modern equivalent of meetings at the Ace Café back in time and the ton up boys exercising their machines on the North circular sort of thing..?
I can only imagine what it might take to make a car gathering official..

Hope I did not come across as disapproving, Just that watching the nutters on the news item and witnessing how it can all go so badly wrong, I suspect one has to be very careful to avoid youthful behaviour in today`s litigious society... ? Sorry I ever seem to look out for the worst while hoping for the best..? Long may your get together be enjoyed..

Cheers! Not disapproving at all.......I suppose the shows being on a Monday morning, and seemingly for blokes of advancing years (along with their cars!!!) it is a very friendly few hours...
