If you can find a good one, how about a Citroen DS3 Cabrio.
I used to have one. Very comfortable and easy to access.

More room in a Golf Convertible. I've owned a couple of MINIs (though not a convertible). Test drove a Golf Convertible a few years ago (which turned out to have engine oil pressure problems). Liked that as a car, but there is a lack of boot security as access can be gained by dropping the rear seats from inside the cabin. Manual hood IIRC which was a plus point to me.

For my MIL we bought a handle that fits into the lock hoop on the door pillar. That meant she could hold the dash and the handle to get out. It really helped. Link is hereBriliant - thanks John. Found one on A***** for less than a tenner! Clever, easy to use, going to get one to keep in the Tintop just in case, thanks for the info John

Try putting a bin bag on the seat so she can spin or slide on that, works!

Well I’ve taken the plunge and put a deposit on a Golf GT cabriolet. Mums says she’s been in one as a taxi (hardtop) and it was fine.
Now the hardest part - letting go of the Mazda!

2012 Plus 4 in Sport Green. Much comfier than the Plus 8!
