I imported a T140V from the UK to Holland and also an Audi 80 from Bavaria where I was living in 1989. Both needed an official MOT inspection. When the officials saw I was from the UK they sailed through despite the Bonnie being 104 dBa vs the 72 in the regs.

IBy 1995 I had moved to Kenya and imported an Indian 6v Bullet 350 I had owned for under 12 months. EU regs wanted 10k euro as a vehicle importer as it was so new. I appealed and had to drive from Den Haag to
Utrecht for the review. My lucky the chief inspector was retiring and his first bike was a Bullet. So we passed. I would say check carefully before you import.

In Germany for example we don`t get any further informations about cars, like you get in GB and perhaps in the USA.

If you buy a car you have to believe the informations you get from the seller after you asked him about the cars history. If you ask the second or third owner the answer will be: I don't know.
