A few years ago, one of our fellow travellers suffered from a moving gantry whilst boarding a ferry. The ramp to an upper floor entry dropped and beached his car, bending the chassis. The car was taken to a dealer close to his landing port for repairs. The chassis was straightened and the car properly checked on a jig. When he eventually got the car back, he reported that it now drives far better than it ever did from new. The conclusion formed was that the car was now straighter than it was when it left the factory.
