We have done tis trip twice now on the Bretagne, and had two very different experiences. The first time I was paranoid so asked them at every opportunity to load us on the lorry deck - this happened and we were one of the first off. The second time was much different - after going through the security we were directed to a special waiting area. We were joined by dozens of classic cars, all bound for the Circuit des Remparts at Angouleme. We weren't part of an organised group but the loaders clearly realised what was going on. We ended up on the top car deck (which is a bit of a pain as you drive round it and are parked at every possible angle) - but the entire deck was a classic car show! We had no problems with the ramps in our Plus 4. Made for a lovely trip as we were surrounded by like minded souls.

Any transitions from link span to ship / car deck ramps top & bottom take at an angle - it reduces grounding.
