I just wondered if this had happened to anyone else. I haven't had the car long and decided to make last Fridays trip to Goodwood with all of the side screens off and the roof down as the sun has finally appeared. After a few minutes of motorway driving I noticed a slight lift on the rear screen material. The car is a 4/4 4 seater. A few seconds after that the roof material had unfolded itself and looked a bit like a brides train. I pulled over and tucked everything in again. Set off thinking 'Trucks going at 60 really do look big' and made it another half a mile before it happened again. Popped the rear side screens on and did a weekend of driving without further issue.
I've followed the Allon White Sports Cars video as to how to do the hood here :
I've always felt the rear retaining studs for the straps are a bit too high and a bit too far out to be truly tight.
Any how, first legitimate use of the hazards in 6 months of ownership. Just wondered if I'm doing something wrong or if there is an easy addition to fix.
I have to say one of the best bits of touring with a Mog is after a long drive getting back to the hotel for a cool beer and giving advise to 4 seater owners as they put up their hoods. THe Norfolk OxMog & SwanMog holiday comes to mind & like Eric & Ernie with Andre Preview brings back a chuckle or two.
This video needs supressing as it takes away all the fun
