Not many go for the stealthy black springs, but like you I think they look perfect for the car. I guarantee you'll feel a quite remarkable difference in ride quality and handling one you've fitted them and the car is out from hibernation. Just do a sanity check on the front geometry (I set mine very slight toe-in, 10-15' total-toe) just to make sure it's all spot on.

and make sure you put the valves with their nut pointing down on the front shocks so they do not contact the headpipes.

Ours also have black springs... Keeps the "classic" look of the car, but truly a step forward in the way the car handles.

Just to clarify, the black damping adjuster knob should be at the top for both front and rear shocks

I was referring to the locking hex nut and adjusting screw (possibly a torx) at the BOTTOM of the front shocks on one side of each shock only. The top black damper adjusting nut does not interfere with anything.

Just want to confirm. When installing the rear shocks, the spacer should be on the inside for best clearance as in the picture above. Is that correct?
Thanks.
