Most bespoke/coachbuilt/limited run designs are based off an offering a manufacturer already builds and with that it will have some touch points shared and one can see the lineage. It's simply too cost prohibitive to get a bespoke chassis certified to then allow a truly bespoke body.

Bentley is on their third very limited run from Mulliner which included a speedster take on the GT, complete with no roof as well.

Like the Bacalar, the Midsummer will most likely be part of the owners collection.

This chap gives us a good look around some of the details, and translation works ok.

Most of the car I really like. I don’t like the wood above the doors and I’m not sure I like the back end but it will grow on me.

Yes I feel the same way.

Rather than the chrome blig I would prefer painted along the side. I don't really like the angular creases in the mudguards.

It really is quite impractical without a screen and the possibility of a hood.

I would rather see decently fitted doors too.

does it not need indicators sidelights and wing mirrors?

May not be so sleek "on the road"

All in the lights - the same set up as the new restyled Plus Four. Not sure about the laws regarding wing mirrors.

The guy in the Italian video that Richard posted seems to spend a lot of time explaining the lights, but I haven't yet found out how to get the translation working.

He doesn't seem to mention mirrors at all and I can't see even an interior mirror. Do Italians use them? hide

Ian,

Under Settings set to auto translate a drop down with language options appears.

tbh I didn't understand his convoluted explanation in English laugh2 he's a bit flowery for me..

I didn't see a fuel filler cap either ? or perhaps that is a clue to the likely owners grin2

As I was searching an "old fashioned" looking car I had a test drive in a BURTON.

I understand Jens opinion quite well!
The back is not my cup of tea.

To be fair: The Burtons are very small volume (handmade) cars. And the quality is lower than some trads from a company we all know very well!

After more than 30 years knowledge and experience with bikes from HONDA I was very disappointedointed with the quality of BURTON!

So buying a Morgan was a better step.

2005 4/4 1800ccm Duratec and a lot of HONDA CX500.......
