Still looks half finished -- Needs a windscreen and a hood!! A windscreen, roof and sidescreens are available as options, but I guess they would completely detract from the styling and make it look much more like any other Morgan. I doubt many, if any, of them will be driven anyway, they'll almost certainly finish up in museums or private collections.

Sorry but with what's gone on at the factory over the last 20 yrs their own in house design team could have popped that out, maybe get Pinnafarina to design a roof of mx 5 quality which Morgan seem incapable of doing. From what one of the design team was saying it was really just a publicity project and there are no plans for further collaboration.

It's a little like hoping the increased value and prestige of Pinnwhatsit will rub off on it to make it more saleable and expensive. I get that bit but all it tells me is that they are now a different company.
I would like it a lot more if they did an "M" style model. Perhaps use one of the higher state of tune engines, brakes and diff to provide an engineering led variety instead of rearranging the matchsticks a bit.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I know I've got old etc etc...but isn't that the most boring mmc video yet? I guess I'm old too, but I agree. I tried wtaching it with the sound on but didn't like the style. So I turned the sound off hoping to see some good images of the car, but mostly blokes who are too focused on their hair/beard/shades/jackets. If it had been edited to 10 minutes and lost a lot of the guff, then I might have watched it again. But I won't be bothering.

Let's be clear to start off..... It's not aimed at beardy weirdy, flying jacket and cloth cap owners. There will never be one at a noggin....... It's not aimed at trad owners or folk who inhabit TM.
I wasn't a fan of the Italians taking over, I didn't want change at all really. I liked how things had always been done in Malvern, I still think they could have carried on that way, but that's another argument....
I like trads....! The CX has grown on me, I've driven one and it is extremely good (for a Morgan), it clearly isn't ever going to compete with a boxster or a Z4, but why should it, everyone else is desperately trying to make their cars more analogue, more....fun.....! It is a Morgan though. Morgans require a different mind set. If you want a Morgan nothing else will do.
The video is very slick. It's aimed at folk who collect cars, if your surname is Lauren or Leno, or your dad's face is on the currency, this is the car for you. Perhaps the video is as much about making MMC a saleable proposition as much as selling midsummers.
I absolutely love the car in the same way that I thought, and still think, that the Aeromax is stunning. I think the midsummer will become a classic in the same way. I presume that the direction of travel for the Italians is more towards concepts, bespoke and instant classics. I hope that the Pininfarina collaboration leads to more cars, perhaps more affordable cars that could fit in to the range.
Come on Morgan, stay extreme, odd, rebellious, different, outrageous.....fun.....!!!!

Sadly the new MMC approach is all about "fashion" and talking, over presenting the details of the engineering, because the target audience presumably want that.
I did notice that Jonathon Wells is looking older. Obviously I've been around too long.

It's a perfect work piece for them to demonstrate what they can do to any prospective buyers of the Company I imagine. I love it and am in agreement with Julian, I think the Aeromax will prove to be the zenith of their designs though - it is a very special looking car indeed whereas this car is an extension of the Speedster V8. If that Aston Green Max ever came to market again I would face a most difficult decision as it is impossibly beautiful ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2020/06/05/mx.png) I will give the video a watch at 2000 tonight when I have nothing better to do

Ah, the Aeromax....just something else. Surely the high point of Morgan design. How could anything come close?
Just heard a radio four program called Mark Steel in Town. Basically he goes to a town and entertains a theatreful by being gently rude about their town. He was in Malvern. Of course the factory comes in and there's a story of when the famous industrialist went round to tell them how to improve he's meeting staff and comes to a man who has been there 40 years or so. He says ...you must have seen a good few changes over your time here...and the bloke replies....not really!
