I know we should drive withe the hood down however the hood has developed these ears not looking that nice. Has there been a successful attempts in straightening them ?

I have "solved" this by attaching some velcro to the underside of the front of the flap and also to the upright so when one closes the dood you extend your arm through the open window and attach the Velcro strip to the upright. When you open the door the Velcro detaches enough itself. this then prevents the flap flying up at speed and letting the rain in underneath!

Other solution is a post 2022 cx Plus model with the modified hood!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I glued small very powerful magnet to underside and a similar sized disc to top of window. Sorts itself out when you open and close.

I looked into this issue. A stiffener (shaped aluminium or plastic) is the only solution that appealed to me, inserted within stitching. Unfortunately this will not allow hood to fold properly when down. Even Allon White couldn't come up with a solution. I decided to ignore this cosmetic issue since my Classic is water tight in that area and most other places.

Sorry Jon I don't. I no longer have the roadster which was my everyday car, and because I've turned into the type of Morgan owner I used to mock (low mileage, never in bad weather) I haven't driven my plus4 with the hood up at all.
It was straightforward though. You need good glue for the rare earth magnet.For the disk on the perspex I just used a dab of super glue. It was an everflex hood. Magnet was probably half an inch in diameter. It was invisible under the flap. It would sometimes let go at really high speeds but fall back again as I slowed. Worked well.

I think that the magnet solution may be the "cleanest" fix. On my list..............

Your problem is a common one. Sidescreens have only two attachments points which creates a single plane. Single planes always have a variety of positions
and, in our case, this expresses itself at the top, where the sidescreen should fit snugly into the soft top pocket and biased inboards. Otherwise an ear will
occur and become permanent and you will often leak. However, nothing needs to be adjusted except the owner. After a few years mogging I learned. Merely
pull lightly at the top as you tighten the two attachments. That will allow your sidescreens to sit properly...rather than pushing outward in the pocket as yours are
doing in the image and creating your "ears". We must tolerate the pockets rather than close the doors over them. I applaud you doing that.

Leaking is a function of, how side screens are put on, the lack of the traditional rubber flange and speed. I rate my Morgans by the speed they can achieve
without cabin leaking. I had the Works use the traditional system when they recreated my 1984 in late 2002 which was after they switched to their copy of
the Simmonds hood. That first trad was leakless only until 40mph when it arrived. Now the 2002/3 Factory special is until 90mph and I rarely drive at that
speed on the byways I enjoy most but it happens the odd time I use a Motorway. .

Pity, just as the Factory got it the old weather gear perfect, (7 decades) they changed to another system!

Here is your image (below) showing the cause of your problem. Look how far away it is from where it should be seated! This is an easy non-invasive fix.

P.S. We too find no joy in driving Morgans in heavy rain. I feel the same about my motorcycles. Actually, it is kind of lovely enclosed with one's life partner in a
leakless enclosed Morgan with the top up 400,000 kms and counting

As I sit looking at the pouring rain I've remembered why I did the magnet thing in the first place.
So just in case it is of use to anyone......

I was using the car everyday, rain or shine and one of the annoying things was that if it was raining or had rained recently, when I opened the door water poured in to the leather sill trim. Apart from the worry of it seeping through the beading it also caused condensation if the sun came out.
So I glued a magnet to the "ear" and a similar magnet inside the hood to align with the magnet if I folded the ear upwards in order to open the door. This had an unforseen advantage that with the ear locked to the hood a sort of drainage channel was produced which fed the water to the rear. I could open the door and enter the car with no water coming in at all! And closing the door was simple, no fiddling with the hood ear. So entry was massively quicker if it was pouring with rain. All I had to do then was stretch my arm through the open window and pull the ear down.
Even better was that I could actually drive with the ear in the up position without causing leaking.
However, for neatness I then glued a metal disc to the perspex to hold the ear down.
I discovered that I could fold the ear up, enter the car and then just hit the roof on the inside causing the ear to bounce up and close itself to the down position.
It all worked really well.

The final laugh was that when I sold the car (to a Mog dealer) they insisted I removed the magnets as they thought it would put off an owner!
