Has anyone had experience of fitting All Season tyres on a trad. 4/4 or +4? Such as Goodyear or Michelin. Used with great success on our Yeti and Mini.

A few years ago, 2017 from memory, I fitted Michelin Cross Climate tyres to a +4. I needed them as I was driving to Italy over the alps and they were a legal requirement. I took the opportunity to go for the slightly larger 195/65 instead of 195/60 as this gave extra ground clearance, added bonus was the speedo reading was spot on after that. They gave a far better ride to the standard fit tyres with no loss of feel or road holding ability, it was almost like you had fitted a far superior suspension system. Yes, they were that good, would definitely recommend them.

I have not fitted any cross climates myself, unlike Sir P above who has practical experience.
The softer compound should not be a problem on a light car like the Morgan, on heavier cars you could expect a higher wear rate.
The rubber compound is formulated to work well at lower temperatures (below 10 C ) but Morgan usage is normally heavier in the summer, and the tread pattern is optimised for conditions like snow or mud. How many of us use our Morgan in these conditions?
Personally I prefer a tyre that will give me controlled grip when I want it (the cross climate will probably provide that) but will break traction when I want to steer on the throttle or break traction, not sure if this would be the cross climate's forte.

Derek, Peter Bradley (Gambalunga) fitted cross climates to his +4, if I remember correctly. A necessity for some of his motoring.
