I feel most fortunate in catching another calm weather evening 88 mile run, to Balmaha and round the Trossachs, the sun shone, so grabbed a pic which I will hopefully post below.

Glad that you liked the pic Richard, K and Graham, and thanks for letting me know that you did. Perhaps you might like a little more detail... ? I often try to time my runs either around dawn, or when I expect most local folk/tourists/cyclists, might be enjoying their evening meal, which seems to greatly reduce the amount of traffic on the roads. The particular location of that pic is on a local road which is ever popular for both m/cyclists and others who like a bit of a challenge, and sadly it has claimed quite a number of lives over the years. Currently the road surface is horrendous in places, more so in the Mog with a mix of pot holes and very rough repairs, all of which leads me to suspect that other than local authority budget cuts, perhaps the the road surface has been allowed to deteriorate in order to reduce the average speed of traffic to some degree.

On moving on to a much smoother road I thought I picked up on a bit of a rattle, which was not any of the usual shakes rattle or roll, though in truth there is never much in the way of roll. I pulled into the public car park at Aberfoyle to investigate and was approached by a young couple with French accents, while shaking the Mog in search of my new rattle, as ever there were the usual questions asked and much interest shown, and fortunately the new rattle was found to be one of the spotlights had slackened a tad and turned to make occasional contact with the bumper... My new found friends were amazed at the selection of tools to be found in the tool box under the bonnet, and just how quick and simple it was to resolve the Morgan`s new rattle.... As ever I invited them to sit behind the wheel for each of them to have their photograph taken, which is ever greatly appreciated any time I have done so over the years, after which I crept out of Aberfoyle at the normal 20mph limit, then roared over the hills and glens in places, all of which made for another great drive in the old Mog....(-:

Thanks CooperMan, and Jon who I missed earlier...Until recently I only ever printed and framed one pic of my Morgan which I have had in my study for circa 20 years...

Hi all, long time lurker and not posted for a long time either. My aim now is to get more involved with the club and this forum, as I have some rather big shoes I will never be able or indeed want to fill, but with a beloved car that has so much sentimental value as a family and I will be attending MogFest next week. My Dad was a fairly well known member in the Morgan world and I am sure he would appreciate me keeping the car and myself (and mum and sister) involved.

Anyway, yes! I have driven the Morgan today, only to get about 2 miles away from home to find that the throttle was sticking wide open… which was eventful with a 200 horses tugging at 50 year old brakes! I pulled into the first lay-by and killed the ignition. A simple roadside repair carried out, although nothing obviously wrong and straight back home. It is getting looked at by someone much more capable than I at the weekend, but I am glad it happened today rather than next weekend!

On a side note, I have worked in the car trade for almost years, not once have I had to remove a bonnet to change a battery… oh how I have missed the Morgan fold!🤣
