I have got a bit of a problem with my 2012 M3W. The Stop Lamps are not working despite the fuse being fine In addition the rear fog lamp isn't working and the fuse is fine there also. Somebody did tell me there should be a reset switch which may or may not sort it. I have no idea where that is so if someone would point me in the right direction there that would be a start. Any other advice would be more than welcome as my knowledge of electrics can be written on the back of a very small postage stamp. Thanks.

It's not uncommon to find that the wiring that goes through the rear hinge breaks.
Worth checking that first.
Strip out the rear boot liner and undo the bolts holding the leather hinge cover in place to access the wiring for the rear light clusters.

Very good plan especially as both lighting problems are at the rear.

Issue there could be a poor common earth connection. All the rear lights share the same one!

Another vote for the boot hinge area. You will need to splice some new flexi cable in there, if you just join the cables they will break again.

I had some similar problems and found the wires were chaffed close to where they go past the fuel level sender. Looked like they were wearing between the wood frame and the boot liner. Easily fixed & protected against future failures.
