I got my GCE O in Technical Drawing. I think I still have my Rotring pointy things somewhere. Even bought one of the S3 Rotring white plastic drawing boards. Always enjoyed that subject.
The stuff around log tables, not so much....

I still like tech drawing and always do a plan and isometric sketch of the next 'project'. I'm currently surveying and drawing the new house we've moved to & may even knock up some as built M&E layouts, and Mrs CooperLady will eventually get her proposed garden plan done to scale - no CAD, all hand drawn the old tech way

Did A level tech drawing at school. Passed despite the master teaching us directly from a book, mainly roof structures I recall with calculated loadings.

Taught Draughting & Design on A0 drawing boards in the Aerospace industry
Also taught CAE / CAD in 2D, (was a City & Guilds course)
Then created an "aircraft centric" 3D (CATIA) course.

Could say I enjoyed Tech Drawing wink .

Back in the 60s, in another life, I worked for a couple of years in the Concrete and Soils Laboratory of the NSW Railways. I was a very young assistant to the engineer. My job encompassed field trips to obtain samples, working with the diamond drilling team to get core samples, obtaining samples of concrete pours (the railways at that time had their own concrete batcing plant) and developing shear and compression load testing machines for core samples. One interesting device used condoms to enclose the samples for load testing. Part of my job was to take an official order for condoms (extra strong) to the supplier. It is a wonder that the bean counters never questioned the invoices laugh
Anyway, as part of all this, I also had to do a lot of technical drawings and print the copies using an antiquated machine that stank of ammonia. Most of the drawings were hand lettered and naturally had to be legible.
I don't know what happened but these days I am lucky if I can read my own handwriting frown
Sometimes I look at what I have written in absolute disgust.

Porsche 917 prototype flat-16, 7.2L of displacement, naturally aspirated this generated 880hp at 8000rpm. Rumored to be capable of around 2000hp with turbos. The engine Porsche was using at the time was a flat-12 with twin turbos, making 1600hp at 40psi in qualifying trim. love

The clip ons and rear sets would knacker your back whilst you got your arms wrenched out of their sockets, but what a way to go woohoo

A friend of mine had a Sei. Full race fairing etc. A lovely bike but the alternator couldn't charge the battery.
