1. water penetrates the car in heavy rain. The water comes through the shaft of the windshield wiper
2. the passenger door lock is defective for the second time. It can no longer be opened from the inside.
3. the dashboard lighting works during the day. It is off in the dark.

I have to take the car to the dealer for two days. Then a report will be written and forwarded to MMC. Then I can pick up the vehicle again. When MMC has passed on the solution to the problems to my dealer, I can bring the car back and the repairs will be carried out.
This has not been the case so far. I discussed the problems on the phone and the repairs were carried out.
I drive an hour and a half to my dealer and my wife has to accompany me in a second car so that I can get home again.

Re the door lock....a friend had similar with his. It was the battery in the key fob. A new battery and it was ok.

My Plus Four had a failure of the gauges in the dash. Just the round gauges as the LED screen was ok. I knew my speed and the warning lights seemed ok. I used the Morgan recovery to get it from home to the dealer. Recovery vehicle arrived in less than 2 hours. Dealer sorted it with a new pcb.New pcb came from the factory within a couple of days and fitted promptly. I caught a train to a station a few minutes from the dealer who picked me up there. Train journey was nice. Haven't done one for a while, apart from a "sardines in a tin" one going to Cardiff due to rugby matches there.

My passenger door lock is mechanically defective. The inside door handle no longer moves the mechanism.The door can be opened from the outside.

My passenger door release handle also mechanically failed about a year ago. When I took the door card off, the issue was just that one metal connector had slipped out of the white plastic connector block - possibly due to the spring around it pushing it out of the connector block. I ended up slipping some washers on either end of the spring and using cable ties to secure the metal connectors into the plastic block. No issues since. I’ve attached two pictures.

(BTW taking door card off is relatively simple — screws along sides and bottom of door — plus one in the door release fitting itself.)

Many thanks to Gonze for the pictures. This is very helpful if this should happen again.
I'll have it fixed by the dealer as a warranty claim.
Even though I'm not happy about the new warranty process.

All these woes I’m reading about is really off putting as a potential buyer. Given I have a busy schedule over the next few months I’m watching to seeing anything comes up that I think is the perfect spec and price but ideally waiting until winter hits and hopefully I can prick up a good priced car.

That said, the more issues I read the more I’m reconsidering! Especially as even two main dealers I’ve spoken to have said its worth holding off. In fact one dealer I contacted have told me they are only now doing sale or return and don’t hold any of their own car stock because the risks have become too high as new CX cars and 3wheelers are proving difficult to sell. That came as a massive surprise to me!

The CX is far more complex than a Trad, and yet is suffering the same issues from water leaks, and other niggles. Once out of warranty, these cars will need a hands on approach, but have a much more expensive components than the Trads. And I suspect that most parts will be factory or dealers only. They are such attractive packages, I looked at a few at the Mog, but as it stands, I'll stick.

I think CLPlusFour is unlucky with his car. I have 26000KM on mine and have had no problems.

No I am not unhappy with my PlusFour at all.I love this car. 😍 Every time I drive it I have a smile on my face. 😃 I would buy the Morgan again and again and I can only recommend the same to everyone. 👍 I don't know of any other car that evokes such emotions. I was told when I bought the car that Morgan is not a perfect car and I have no problem with that at all.
Maybe I expressed myself incorrectly with my school English.
I think the new warranty handling process is bad.

That's +1! The same for me, and I knew how Morgan are after nearly 30 years of Morgan ownership. Happy with the PlusFour every day, drove 14.000 km in one year and more to come this year! No major troubles!😍
