Talking of tyres, just picked up a new set of Blockleys fitted to our wheels at their place near Blockley - great service and an opportunity to visit the Blockley cafe in the main village. Nice alternative to a trip to Slough for MWS to do the job!

New Duros are mounted and balanced well. Very nice to ride with. Have them set at 35# for now but will adjust down a few #s at a time to test out. It's Fall in Vermont and it's riding weather as well!

I would make sure your alignment is correct. My MS3 came from the factory with not enough toe-in. it was very skittish especially at highway speeds- you really had to hold the wheel with both hands. When I corrected for 1/2 degree toe-in it is now stable at speed. Obviously an incorrect alignment will increase tire wear. How I did the alignment is either somewhere on Talk Morgan or on Facebook- Morgan Super 3 Chapter thread.

Been There and Done That. This is the eight set of fronts on this Blau Beastie. Alignment has been done multiple times and checked constantly. Due to the vibration of the S&S the car is basically trying to shake itself apart. I have developed rituals during the riding season to go over it, tighten things up, and then maybe clean. There's always something!

Well over 55,000 miles with two separate outages on the speedo cable.due to sheer electrical incompetence at Morgan. dermot design. This car has been driven.

rcmatt, you're doing well with those numbers. I chewed through the Avons as when the car was new I was having fun tearing through Vermont's twisty turny roads. Those stock tires were designated 'side car' by Avon and were never meant for the torsional duty of steering. Morgan, as well, wrote in the manual that 22 lbs was what should be used for them. They turned into ghastly noodles and looked like they'd roll off of the rims.

I've since moderated my driving and switched to far better tires and pressures that will actually hold up. This car has been a learning experience since the first day and continues to this day.

Enjoy!

I always ran the Avons at the max pressure as I do with all my motorcycles. We have plenty of twisties in SW VA (I am 20+ miles from the Blue Ridge) and while I think I drive the M3W fast, I certain have been passed by other M3W riders (e.g. at the Shenandoah trip you unfortunately missed). Currently I have dunlop MC tires (404's) that I had in the shop.... better to wear out than age out!

I changed a lot of front tires ten times or more
Avon are the most regular price/quality
Blockley good but expensive
Shinto not convenient
Pirelli black Damon out of order too quick
Mitas should be the next try 60€ why not
