Hi all,
I'm getting ready to fit aero screens to my 1965 Plus 4 that has the aftermarket fold down windscreen.
I ordered a pair that were sourced from the UK (probably originated with Mr. Rutter - but can't confirm.) When I got them, I was completely impressed with the quality, the quality of the casting, the finish, the sand casting marks around the "Brooklands" marking, the fiber washers, everything was top notch!
HOWever...while getting ready to fit them, I noted that the glass seemed a tad short on my car compared to photos in the US of Morgan's with aero screens fitted. The glass hardly extended past my windscreen when I held them up to the car with the feet attached
After poking around a little, I found a set of slightly taller screens made by Tourist Trophy in the U.S. and sold by Moss Motors. These screens were a bit inferior to the UK versions, the casting was not as high quality, the "Brooklands" marking was shallower and didn't have the sand cast marks, and the washers were metal and not fiber. BUT, the glass was about 1/2" taller than the UK version. Photos below US version on the left, UK version on the right:

I'm leaning toward fitting the taller U.S. sourced screens. Will post photos once the feet are installed. May not be able to return the UK sourced screens as I did scratch the lolipops when I fixed the set screws during a test fitting. So you may see them for sale here on TM soon at a discount.
If anyone has any pics of a Plus 4 with the shorter UK screens fitted with a fold-down windscreen I would definitely appreciate it - as they are the higher quality piece and I'd prefer to fit them, but I just think the taller screens will probably look and perform better.
Best,
GC
