It's got an MSCC badge on it so someone will know the owner wink the Reg is also readily deciphered on the Ivory 4 Seater and lots of personal contact (traceable) details unlike some FB site adverts.

Richard, are you showing off your Sherlock Holmes skills, or are they more Clouseau related... (-:

Someone in the closest club will know if it's a genuine sale or not, it is a very small world of cars here..
A trip to view the car will always sort any questions out, nobody is going to commit fraud for 12k are they ? grin2

DonM advertised here last May at the same price, so I guess there was no interest.

I seldom read the For Sale thread tbh, well spotted, definitely a genuine sale offer.

I note Don M joined back in 2017 so an established TM member.

Central Morgan have just dropped the price on my old Brooklands. The blurb on the add is not right. If you are interested then call me.

I have just taken mine off sale - had no genuine interest all summer. Am I a dreamer? Price too high? Possibly. But I'd say there are a lot of dreamers on the other side as well - the internet just makes it too easy to be a timewaster. So far I have had all the usual 'what will you take for it?' emails, calls from auction houses absolutely promising the earth, and not a few calls from people who turn out to have no intention of buying my car or any other. The best (worst?) so far was a clearly knowledgeable chap who asked me detailed questions for the best part of an hour, knew a lot about the 4/4, appeared to be a MSCC member etc, and who simply failed to turn up having booked a viewing. All subsequent emails went unanswered. The only decent offer was from Tim Ayres for a P/X against a +8; it was more than fair, but the car wasn't for me.

Oh well, there's always next year...

So true. I get really grumpy at all this "What's the lowest you'll go / best price?" bollocks. If they want to make a counter offer then they should do so, and be prepared to be told where to go.

Let's hope you get a fair price for your car when the right replacement comes along.
