This might be worth watching if you can ignore Woss..This series displayed the strength and depth of courage and humility of the man. Cricket bores me to tears but not Freddie.

ITV last night said he was doing 130mph at the time. I wonder if the truth will ever be released, but MMC need to make a statement now the pictures have been released.

It's the BBC that need to make a statement and disclose the Risk Assessment information.
Freddie received an undisclosed sum from them so doubtless will have been subject to an NDA so they have taken ownership or admitted guilt whichever way you look at it to me.
MMC cannot be held responsible for a team of Large children pratting about in cars really can they ?
As Morgan owners we all know the risks involved in driving a very lightweight well powered aluminium crumple zone and the likely outcome of hitting an older 3 tonne Strange Rover and drive accordingly.
The same applies to the heavy EV lumps today of course and the most important factor for me in avoiding Motorways, closing speed is everything allayed to disparity in mass.. Playing conkers at around 5 years of age teaches you this..

Glad he seems to have come through it ok ..... being a fine person doesn't equate with being a fine driver ... the show revolves around door-handleing fast cars ... doing that with modern machinery is one thing ... when you shift into a 'bare-bones' seat of the pants vehicle with none of the driving aids or crumple zones, then you require a level of skill and judgement that may have been lulled into a false sense of security by the more forgiving mainstream products.

Oh yes and I think Freddie knows where his strengths lie being such an incredible athlete with nothing to prove to the other TG monkeys, he goes at everything with his heart so training comes back to the Beeb door once more.
Harris was the only one for this task imho but knowing how dodgy driving any three wheeled device can be there was probably very good reason he sat it out in the shed !

Spot on Keith, also our military boys and girls get a fraction of that if a limb is lost or worse during a campaign. Not the same scenario I know but as Keith says for driving like a twat.

I don't believe it was 130 mph. Does the car go that fast? I remember reading it was 30 mph so maybe a typo?
However, this is the man who was happy to bungy jump in a mini off a huge dam......
So he must have a reduced sense of danger.

210 km/h is possible, I think, because my MS3 reaches 180 km/h quite quickly. But I don't go any faster because at that speed, you can feel the car becoming less and less stable... At 210 km/h, it must be terrifying.
