Thanks for the words of warning. The IOW holiday continued yesterday with a trip to Osborne House, Queen Victoria's favoured residence.





Oh and it didn't rain

On recommendation the Morganeer and I plus partners chose the Crab and Lobster on the coast at Bembridge for seafood lunch.



This followed by visit to Botanic Gardens hosted by Ventnor micro climate.

Less than perfect trip back from I.O.W. yesterday. Beginning and end in sunshine but increasingly violent rain showers en route followed on A1M by vicious hail storm. The hail was lying on the ground so thick I couldn't get traction to move! Definitely the low point in an otherwise enjoyable 650 mile holiday. Apart from a couple of groundings Morton weathered it all, you certainly need a reliable handbrake on the island though.

Much nicer day down here now. We came back from hols planning on a short excursion on Waverley from Yarmouth today, but the pier is out of action so our trip was cancelled, with start/finish now at Ryde. Good view from Milford on Sea though....
