The NEW thing would seem to be them pratting about with the fuel maybe ?

Have you checked the ballast resistor? (if you have one fitted), if it is faulty it can give similar engine starting problems.

600 km with only one stop for coffee and fuel leaving Barcelona port at midnight to arrive in Bilboa at dawn. Early checkin at the hotel followed by breakfast and a 3 hour sleep.

That's brave! You are early for the Spanish event. So you have extended pre-event. I wish you a pleasant stay and a nice fete! One of our MSCCH members (the chair) will also attend the Spanish event. The Weber 32/36 DGV in my 4/4 with 1600 Crossflow was getting a little sloppy. I could feel some movement in the shafts, and suspected I had an air leak.

I put in a replacement, but it wouldn't run correctly. I pulled it apart and found the float adjusted to around 40mm instead of 35mm. After careful adjustment I put it back together and the car runs beautifully!

Greased front suspension and fitted 66 grade hard nylon block into inverted U channel of gearbox cross member secured with countersunk bolts, shaved to sit just slightly proud of member. It acts as a skid as well as spreading impact across the whole member.



It's the front edge of this cross member that grounds on my car, thankfully rarely now until a recent holiday in the I.O.W. Seemingly wherever we went Google took us through a short cut which involved several speed bumps, quite severe ones. I don't think anyone in our large group managed to avoid grounding at least once.

Greased the kingpins, checked the tyre presure and liquids, toped up the Vpower, put the Crit air sticker on the windshield, fixed some little things, cleaned the carpets, found the bootbag wich will go on the luggage rack.

We are planning to drive the 1600 km to Laguardia in 3 days. The weather outlook is not to bad! My wife and I are really looking forward to this adventure.
