Picked up a 2017 +4 2 seater for my dad on Thursday. It’s a wide body so 16x7’ Wire wheels with Suplex front suspension and 14k on the clock.

It drives very well, very solid but does knock at the rear over bumps. It’s on original springs and dampers

Thinking maybe adding the new Wolf rear dampers or Rog’s bump stops.

Anyone tried to Wolf ones? Are they now the go to option given the demise of Avo?

I haven't tried them but I know Cain put a lot of effort into them. Like all his stuff it should be good.

At only 14k, there should be plenty of life left in the shocks, so think you are just experiencing what is normal for Morgan.
My vote is for Rog’s bump stops…cheaper than new shocks, really effective, simple action and don't wear out.

Roger’s bump stops are a well engineered solution to bottoming on uneven road surfaces and a worthwhile addition.

Indeed they are. Fitted them to my s1 Roadster and the result was excellent. But I suspect they helped as the leaf springs were tired. MMC had some poor quality springs in the early 2000s.

Unless you happen to know springs have sagged go for both. The Wolf shocks are adjustable so could be tuned to compliment the bump stops.

In addition to shocks, maybe it's a bit of both issues regarding the leaf spring, a spring rate that's a bit too weak plus a bit of sag. The sagging spring does not lose its original (perhaps too weak) spring rate but the travel becomes shorter and therefore bump is more likely.

I've got the Wolf shocks all round, no more crashing really pleased so much better than the AVOs.

I'd start with the bump stops first, otherwise you won't know what actually cured the bottoming out (plus some rear shocks bust internally if over compressed)

If you are getting “impact” thumps or knocks as you put it. Have a good look for tell tale marks on the wood where the axle comes through into the wheel well/arch. Some cars have to have a little of the wood removed. Also on some cars the drive shaft hits the tunnel edge. Wolfe performance would check all of that if they fit the shocks for you.
