Recently two 2021 M3Ws have had a TSM failure, both at about 30k miles.
In both cases the left hand front and rear indicators failed whilst the right hand ones continued to work. There were non of the previous issues with not being able to switch off the engine.
Both have been replaced with new MMC modules and are working fine (for now!).
Interestingly, in the Parts book (5.2 Sept 2017) the TSM part number is listed as E340064 Turn Signal Module whereas the current number is E340098 EU M3W Turn Signal Headlight Module. So I wonder if the MMC supplied unit has been modified at some point?

I recently had an email chat with Alister and he still has a stock of his re-designed Turn Signal Modules if anyone's interested. It's best to contact him via email as he doesn't look at TalkMorgan very often so if you're interested, PM me and I'll let you have his email address.
Alister also said that he had some ideas regarding utilising the later type TSM in place of the earlier 12-pin variety. However, in order to do this he would need access to an early car! Therefore, if you live anywhere near Horsham and would like to help with this development, he would love to hear from you!

Damm, I thought they had all gone and when I tried to contact Alistair his old email bounced back. So I've just installed a stock MMC unit but if it lasts another 30k miles that won't be too bad.

I’ve just had a further 10 of these made and if you are interested, they are available at the £84 cost price plus postage and packing. If you would like one please email me at chisgolding99@sky.com.
When they are gone they’re gone and although Alister can make some more he would need a minimum order of 10 units and preferably 20 units.
Note, these are only applicable to the 18 pin units fitted from 2013 onwards and do not fit Euro4 cars which have different 14 pin modules.
