I recently installed seatbelt extenders on my 2015 M3W. Now the seatbelt receiver isn't stuck somewhere down below my backside once we are in the car. Given I needed to build a slight booster under my wife's seat (for visibility and so she can reach the pedals when driving) it was necessary for her. With the seat elevated 3.5", the receiver was below the level of the seat.

Bought mine before I'd even collected new car from dealer. Fitted before driving away.

With mild amusement, I've watched this thread. My seat belts are almost useless by now. The 2012 did not come with protectors to keep crud off of the belt thrown up by the rear wheel. One side is totally jammed and the other can come out but is disgusting to touch and look upon. I was reminded by a YouTube video of a drive by two gentlemen in the mountains of Southern California. As they were entering the car, one saw the sticker on the dash about using seat belts and helmets while driving. They both stepped back, took a look at the car and one of them just said, "What's the point?"

I took that to heart. If one gets hit by anything sizable, one is just done. I have, on occasion, driven with a helmet for the cold and visibility as it is a Bell Pitman with a very white cap. Police know it well.

In all other driving in my other cars, I am a religious fanatic about wearing seat belts and employing all of the safety features. If a passenger decides not to buckle up they are invited to walk. Immediately.

The Morgan, however, just shrugs and asks, "What's the point?"

I used the seatbelt extenders for a few years but have now fitted 25cm stalks which I reckon are a bit neater as well as giving you another couple of cm for your posterior! It's what the car should have been fitted with from new I reckon.

100% agree with Bunny on the long stalks. They can swivel up to clip in, then drop out of the way. Should have come from the factory like this.

Great idea BUT.. if you occasionally give rides to other people, you may find that sometimes the extender needs to be removed!

I never thought it possible that the extender would be too long… but with a relative’s young girlfriend in the passenger seat it needed to be removed for the seatbelt to fit properly! Made me feel very fat, and I suppose the Morgan marketing team found this when doing photoshoots with young models in the car. wink

@PaulV - LOL! No fear of that happening on my end... and not sure the seatbelts actually do much once the two of us are wedged in!! I didn't go with the stalks because the interior of my M3W is white (don't ask, not my choice) and the black stalk and receiver would mark the leather seat and side panel.

Very sensible!

To clarify, the issue with the extenders is the button on the seatbelt webbing preventing the seatbelt from being tight. Again, not an issue for me…
