I collected my new car from Melbourne in 2011. Be sure to check the car thoroughly. It was amazing how poorly presented the car was and how much time it has taken to fix it.

That though surely must be down to the efficiency or lack of it of your Morgan dealer in Melbourne...not necessarily the factory itself.

I think your right. Most of the issues I had were to do with poorly fitted dealer accessories and the car not properly detailed. The factory issues were minor and easily fixed.
The real poser was the lean to the right, in my case some 35 mm. I spotted this when I got the car home and immediately contacted the Morgan agent. He checked the 4/4 on the showroom floor and found the same problem. Since then I have been made aware of two more cars delivered around that time with the same problem. Yesterday I got a call from another very unhappy new 4/4 owner with what looks like the same “lean” plus a list of other problems which at first glance seem to be a mix of dealer/manufacturer issues.
Previous “Talkmorgan” threads have suggested a transport issue – that could be right as I am not aware of a lean problem with cars elsewhere. Australian bound cars are tied down in sealed containers for the trip and it does take 6 weeks, perhaps that’s why they cost so much.
So why the lean and who (or what) is responsible I don’t know. Morgan will only say that the springs were “not quite to specification” when they had finally managed to fix my car in late January.
Now the good news - all has been fixed (well so far so good). In the end I had to contact the boys at Malvern HQ who were very helpful. A full set of rear springs were provided and fitted under warranty and that warranty extended. For the first time my new car is a joy to drive and I still can’t get used to the attention it gets when out on the road.
People have left admiring notes when parked while others want to take photos or ask about the car when I am stopped at traffic lights - the magic of a Morgan.....

Just keep The attention you get will soon become a 'normal' experience. I sometimes wonder whether is is worth carrying a bunch of single sheet flyers with a short description about Morgan and the car just to hand to those who show an interest. Might even generate the odd sale?? Cheers,

Good idea. I was on a Club run recently and amazed at the attention while just parked! I thought at the time I need to do a car resume...

Good idea. I was on a Club run recently and amazed at the attention while just parked! I thought at the time I need to do a car resume... Just a normal day for every Morgan driver. Petrol station, car parks, pubs. It can take for ever to fill up with petrol for all the attention a Morgan gets. Graham - I was thinking exactly the same "I sometimes wonder whether is is worth carrying a bunch of single sheet flyers with a short description about Morgan and the car just to hand to those who show an interest."

I know of 1 Aeromax owner who has had business cards made up, he hands them out as the admirer requests the info of what the car is, i assume the card guides them to some website with info as to what the car is, my partner was educated to say what the Aeromax is if she is asked when elighting, she was approached outside a coffee shop by a the owner, when she told him the brief of what the car was, he went into full conversation with her about how he had once converted a Ford Prefect SIT UP AND BEG into a hot rod with V8 Power plant and Jag back end, she didn't have a clue what he was on about
