WOW...........That's a hell of a price for a 2019 +4..................!!!! It surely can't be anything that difficult to diagnose/fix.

If it were a simple fix, surely the trader would have sorted it and potentially made more money? A late GDI but depending on mileage, could be valve issues due to excessive carbon build up on backs ofvalves?

Even so there's still plenty of meat left on the bone to get that issue resolved compared to current trade prices. Glad I've got a Duratec/Mazda combination. I would take a reader along to see what error codes exist.

TBH I think you can get lucky and sell well, might be better off trying on commission with a dealer. They are still offering cars a good 20 to 30% above private sale prices at the minute so might be worth a shot.. Most of the dealers are not interested at the moment as they have too much of there own stock. I was recently having a chat with one well known dealer and while we were chatting he had 3 phone calls from people trying to sell the Mogs and he wasn't interested.

've never seen a mog of any type for 10k I paid 10.5k for my 1986 4/4. That was 24 years ago. I've got it insured at 17.5 now, but I reckon it would fetch maybe 12, and only then if the buyer realised what they were getting.

Very sad to read that, for the folk that might need to convert their Mogs back into cash...!

Things that seem too good to be true usually are, especially in the world of cars........ I'm sure if it was easily/economically fixable someone would have done it by now.🤷🏻♂️ Is the Gdi engine an easy diy fix........ weren't there all sorts of electrical/ecu issues when it came out....?? There must be someone on TM who knows the car or knows someone who knows it.......😁

It would need all the basics doing. Compression test, new plugs, Coil packs test (no plug leads), injector clean. After that it gets expensive. It might just be that the owner doesn't want to pay for a dealer to do that, and wants rid.
The current market is spooking some owners, and attempted panic selling only makes it worse.
