What a nice dealership...made me very welcome and showed me around. Impressed with their hoods which is what I went to look at. Interesting that they strip off the windscreen frame from the glass (studded headers) to replace with smooth frame to accept their hoods.......I'd been told by the factory that you could not buy the windscreen glass without a frame as its too fragile to dismantle.

sounds like an interesting trip, by any chance did you snag any photos of the extras that they had on this car?

I know that MMC have developed a rear rack with some leather holdalls that can be clipped to it on either side. When it will be launched I don't know. frown

I'd be surprised if you could not register it in Denmark or any other EU country as legal in one should mean legal in all. The weight covered by the B1 driving licence category was moved upwards in the UK to be the same as the rest of Europe, 550kG.

Tax and inspection class though is a local issue but I'd have thought similar to what has been done in the UK could also apply.

Martyn,

The maximum weight here in Denmark is 400kgs. There's a chance it might be upped to 450kgs. But it's a "cabin scooter" here, because it has three wheels, not a motorcycle.

But I'm already hoping I can at least register it in Australia (to be able to leave it while I go home and make some more cash - which isn't possible with a "foreign" registred vehicle), but again, weight is an issue. Car registration rules are seldomly EU wide, especially with non-mainstream vehicles like this.

These might give you a rough idea.....apologies for the quick sketch up...a bit rough and ready!

I think the map pockets are expandable, with a flapped top to them and made in matching leather to interior.

The headrests/roll bar pads are in same leather, perhaps 6" thick from front to back and are made to slide inside the roll bars. They are retained by leather straps around the bars fitted with "lift a dot" type fasteners. They look pretty good and far better than my poor sketch!

Hope that gives you some idea....I can't believe I didn't take my camera...it normally goes everywhere with me!

I fancy fitting one of these

Induction Kit

But rotating it through 90 degrees so it matches the cylinder configuration.

Both are good additions! The Leather near the head especially makes sense as I could see banging a head or helmet into the metal loops would become tiresome rather quickly. Thank you for mocking those up

August is peak holiday period in Italy, schools and most businesses are closed. We will probably be down south at that time. In September we should be at home.

Official horsepower ratings seem consistent with data published by S&S Cycle. (See Mog3 Wiki/S&S Dyno Chart )

Horsepower ratings in brochures look like either an error, hopefulness, or a misread of peak torque as peak horsepower.

However, it is certain one could get those 120HP from a 120+ cid V-Twin, assuming disinterest in reliability AND assuming the rest of the drivetrain could take it!
