Looks like the best move is to list for private sale at a sensible price reflecting the current climate, I still reckon in the 29 to 30k band Might try on the for sale here first

just bail it out till March and start selling then your car will not sell in winter and people will consider it suspicious to be 'on the market for months' list it at a 'market-correct' price; aka at least 10% below dealer-asking prices, by July it'll be gone I have a serious collection of mountainbikes that have become wortheless due to everyone buying gravel-bikes now but I only bought what I loved and wouldn't mind keeping (nor does my better half )
Steven sold: M3W, Aeromax,V6, 4/4 4seater now: +fourLM62

December is a buyers jamboree, and markets go up and down anyway. We can't even see a year ahead with any confidence, and while mainstream manufacturers are teetering on the edge due to net zero, and while Labour are gleefully screwing around with road tax there's no certainty.
So it's really a matter of keep your nerve and like Steven-1560 advised, wait.

IMHO, £22k is a 'we don't really want to buy it' offer; however, as has been said, there is also an element of the need for any dealer to build in a buffer to cover themselves in terms of the Consumer Rights Act of 2015. Also, any dealer will be factoring in sitting on the car for 6-12 months; whilst it is unlikely that a 2016 Morgan will depreciate vastly in that period of time, the dealers money is tied up (or they are paying interest), hence another cost.
The sad fact is there are a lot of Morgans that are still up for sale and have been since this time last year or longer. What we have seen on here is getting the price right is key - Perry put his 4/4 Anniversary up and it sold quickly; however, it was priced keenly.
Steve109, your last comment makes the most sense to me - a keenly priced private sale will net you more than a dealer trade offer.
In terms of Steven (1560's) comments, although I agree that winter isn't the ideal time to sell a cabrio / sports car of any kind, I do think our continental European members have benefited from a more buoyant used Morgan market. Perhaps less supply of LHD cars means more demand but prices seem better in the EU and the market, at least up until now, not suffering the same level of used value slump we are on these cars.

It's a tough time alright. My friend who was offered 10 for his mid eighties plus four tried to p/ex it with a well known Morgan dealer. The dealer couldn't offer him anything as his cars on the forecourt are commissioned sales so he'd have to buy in my friends car which he absolutely won't do. So, unsaleable and un part exchangeable too. Rather depressed me as mine is a mid eighties car as well...... If you don't need the money best to hang till spring by which time my car will probably be worth 5 if this carries on. Luckily for me I'm not wanting to sell ( famous last words) and I don't care what the market does at all.

We've batted this subject around on various threads a lot recently, certainly since the price realignment which has happened/is happening.
To be honest, over the years the talk on TM has always been along the lines of 'how a Morgan is safe a place to put your money' and of guaranteed returns and profits.....
Like many on here I follow the market, taking a keen, if not morbid interest in prices. The 'trend' has been consistently down for quite some time, certainly more than 12 months, and as has been said, the toy/sports car market generally is very much down. Most Morgan dealers have cars they've been sitting on for a very long time...........
It's interesting that a lot of non Morgan dealers now have Morgans for sale which wouldn't have been the case so much in the past. It's surely a sign that the Morgan dealer market is being very cautious about buying stock.
With the factory now deciding it wants to be a proper/real/mainstream manufacturer, huge depreciation has become the norm for Morgans.
You'd imagine that if there is anyone looking to buy a Morgan they would have done their homework and seen how values are dropping.
The age group that might buy a Morgan is getting older, the younger sports car buyers want things that relate to their youth in the 80's and 90's, not cars from the 40's and 50's.......😁
You wouldn't buy a 'normal' car and expect to get your money back, why would you with a Morgan.....??? 'Fun" has a price, and the price is now depreciation...........🤷🏻♂️
Sellers have to get realistic, prices/values just aren't what they were.🤷🏻♂️
