Of all the rugby grounds I've been too, for the 'craic' its hard to beat Dublin, I prefer the old Lansdown Road stadium for the vibe compared to the Aviva.

My brother in law was up in 2023 from NZ for Paddy's weekend in Dublin (he hadn't been home to Ireland for 30 years ) and it was the Ireland England game, we couldn't get tickets for love nor money, we started in town at O'Donohue's were most of the English supporters pre match Guinness drinking starts in earnest, really enjoyed talking rugby to total strangers. Caught the game with the rest of the family in our local watering hole The Galloping Green known for some of the best pints in Dublin........what more could you want, a crowded bar with roaring peat fires and copious amounts of great Guinness enjoying one of the great rivalries.

Well good and well deserved news for THE Black stuff .

Get a bit in early before the Christmas rush..

I hope they as a result stop messing with the different variations on Guinness over the years. Guinness with or without alcohol is all you need..........looks like there's hope for Gen Z yet. As all Guinness is now brewed in Dublin, I wish they would stop watering down the Guinness they send over here compared to the home market brew.

Now I have no idea who these people are but it seems to have converted the little luvs - But all bets are off over who is going to order a pint thanks to a celebrity-fuelled renaissance which has Kim Kardashian and Olivia Rodrigo among the unlikely poster children.

Guinness was super popular with young & old at our daughters festival fake wedding. It ran out before nightfall. All stuff bought off the net but I made the freestanding dartboard . Incidentally a married woman friend can put away 6 pints of this stuff on a Sunday afternoon at the rugby club. MM

PS Just so pleased it wasn’t the picture of an old girlfriend draped over the bonnet of the old red plus 8 ! Maybe for a few pints of Guiness at a meet, I could be persuaded.

I was very grateful for the annoucement back in Nov 15, when Guiness went vegan. I used to do a yearly Sixth Form school trip to Dublin, and we usually finished off in the Guinness factory - murderous not to be able to have a drop,

One of my old Uni mates was behind the team that created the 'White Horses' advert and another was Guiness rep for the Bahamas - omce voted 'the best job in the world' by some publication or other.

Ever had a bottle of Guinness Foreign extra stout, at 7.5% ABV almost double the strength of a draft pint,. I remember only having a few bottles in a pub outside St John's Free port in Antiqua. It might of been a combination of the heat, humidity or just jet lag, but it wrote the rest of the afternoon off. We still to this day we don't remember how we got back to the hotel.
