Not sure how many of you will have seen this line but they are a caricature-like take on famous automotive shapes...

https://playforever.co.uk/

Aimed at both parents buying for young petrolheads or for themselves (I've seen more than a few sitting on the desks or shelves of friends/colleagues over the years laugh2), the quality of them is excellent.

What I've noticed is that most of the homages are of out of production cars: pre-89 911, Countach, GT40, Challenger and various single seater racecars. My assumption is that this is to do with copyright but someone on here, I'm sure, will know more about the legalities of visual representation for commercial use.

However, it did get me thinking... the iconic Morgan shape would lend itself so well to this format and what better way to sow the seeds of the brand than having the next generation of buyers playing with your car as a child?

I've a Targa to remind me of what's in the garage... they're great fun, and very solid build quality.

Not sure how well a Morgan would fit into the range

I had not come across these, very funny and yet very crafty as well. I am guessing their target customer is us and not 5 year olds, very smart.

Love the comment Will, no idea what you mean of course. oops

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

We have a couple of 911’s for the boys. They are 3.5 and would love a Morgan one!! Build quality isn’t perfect for a 3 year old, the windscreen has broken off one of them.

I see Morgan have done Matchbox.. and Playforever are UK designed so maybe worth asking, might be good colab for factory to get the younger audience they go on about

Clever take on model cars, I like some of the quirky names

If you scroll right to the end & ££ is not a limiting factor, you can have a bespoke CNC 'anything' so a Mog is possible

Looks very graceful and funny, with class and although completely different in design with a very high recognition value of the original. The name Playforever says it all.

For anyone tempted, keep an eye out because they do have promotions. For Black Friday, there was a deal where one car was something like 20% off and if you bought two, 25%, there may have been a higher discount for three or more but I cannot recall if/what it was.

Have ordered an orange Luft for my son (29 y) as a Christmas present.

Even the names are funny...Luft which means air, for an air cooled Porsche.

I sold her three years ago but she is a nice car. I cannot keep all of them. So now we will get a very sympathetic replacement.

I thought you'd like them Heinz! cheers

I've also added the Luft 'Crow' because I like the racer / hotrod feel of it:
