I had to go out today in memory of a friend and neighbour who passed away this week 74, he had an early Merc Cabriolet AMG version with a straight six I think that he loved and exercised weekly with a run out with his wife for a start Bay Inn lunch. RIP Phill.

For balance a very good friend of ours had five stents fitted last week (surgeon came down from London NHS) and is now at home recovering. We nearly lost him 10 days ago.
Apparently this has only been done once before in our country, John is a Marine Architect and used to work for Shell surveying their vessels.

Near 300 mile round trip to family meet in the East Riding on Saturday. Drive up on Friday in continuous mist, surprisingly heavy at times. Shocking number of morons with no rear lights on, one or two with none at all

Drive back today much better but roads still a little damp for the most part despite some sun. At least no salt on the roads though.

The sun was shining so a final final 2024 drive. A lovely blast around Cambridgeshire, slowing down for the cameras.

Quick blast to get a obligatory Wallings ice cream, rain due tomorrow so probably last run of 2024. We took the M55 route back with rain threatening, much to the delight of of few children in passing cars.
