Hi
The accelerator cable on my 2005 Duratec engined Plus 4 has snapped at the pedal end and is frayed at the other end.

1) How do you remove the cable from the peg shown in the photograph? Is the rubber collar which the cable is wrapped around a push fit onto the peg?
2) Is the cable a standard Ford part or will I have to pay Morgan prices for a replacement?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi I had a look at this link.It looks like you should have some plastc fitting on the end of cable.

I don't know what part of country you are from but there is a cable company in Birkenhead that can make a custom cable they are not expensive.
