Sorry you see it that way. I'm giving my two cents. I'll support anything as long as the behaviour is professional or at least acknowledging mistakes. This has all the tell-tale signs of castles in the air and incompetence. I'll be happy to be proven wrong - more than happy, in fact. But so far, I don't believe they can lift the burden.

If that's too harsh, so be it. They'll go nowhere unless they up their game. If they do, they might just get the boat to float, since Mog-owners are a loyal flock on the whole.

Sorry, I just realised you actually wrote "unworthy". Are you freaking serious? Unworthy!? I'm sorry, but I figure that harsh critique is needed, especially when trying to get a venture going. It's definately not time to blindly believe anything and everything.

Everyone can come up with an idea and although that needs support, the moment you get out there, you better act professionally. I have no patience with amateurs who appear to be running from what they promised, nor try to ignore valid feedback (like you lot gave). The moment they try make people pay, regardless of amount, they better act professional.

Unworthy my arse.

Edit: As for evidence, how about people signing up before others, yet the late-comers getting a free subscription, while the earlier ones didn't. It can hardly be clearer than that.

AQM. I find it slightly bizarre that you seem so irate about not getting a free subscription to a magazine that you are clearly convinced will be rubbish & will fail before even the first issue has hit the news stand. I incline more to Robbie's take on the whole thing, and will certainly wait and see what issue 1 is like before rushing to judgement.

I agree. I think a nice cup of tea and a good afternoon nap is in order.

As for poor Mogmag: there is no need to bite his head off. He is doing his best to respond and I am sure the issue of who did or did not get in the first 100 is more a matter of some computer anomolly than intention. No doubt he is unfamiliar with the use of forums and will learn in time and with a few kind pointers instead of critisism.

We should welcome Matti and his Editor Julia and wish them all the best with the enterprise. I am sure they would also be pleased to receive contributions and photos too.

I am looking forward to reading the first issue of the magazine - here's hoping it makes it to Australia....if not perhaps I will get a copy in the UK or at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Introducing an iPad app is a great idea too - love my cars and love using electronic gadgets so if I can combine these things I am indeed a happy man.

New ventures such as this need to be encouraged and supported and I tip my Akubra to those involved in producing the magazine. A brave thing starting a new publication and there is bound to be the odd teething problem here and there - as Albert Einstein once said (apparently) "A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new". I am glad there are people out there who are willing to have a go..... thumbs thumbs

Actually after the 4 different Land Rover and 5 distinct Mini titles but in front of the 15 devoted to VW Campervans smile

Has a publication date been given yet?

It's not a matter of me feeling cheated from a free subscription. I never entered the competition, because I'm wary of free offers.

Free subscriptions are not my beef.

I'm reacting to what I construe as dishonesty and amateurish behaviour. The amount (or the "free subsciption") doesn't matter one bit.

Nice try attempting to once again pretend it's about some small amount or something, when it isn't that at all. I already explained that, and here I did once again.
