I have already had a few problems with my PlusFour.
However, I have never had a misted-up instrument.

It is a feature mine has. The UK coastal area has a lot of humidity

Iām really interested as obviously we are true coastal but neither Plus 8 VDO gauges misted but the 4/4 Sport got misted up unless on a long overnight trip so I assume the internal lights provided a source of heat to overcome the temperature differential.

Having the lights on initially make mine steam up more, I suppose because it increases the temp difference. Once back in the garage they will demist really quickly, so it's very dependant on the outside temp.

Yes Dave you need a series Land Rover with Smiths round fug stirrer to fully demonstrate the physical effects you describe

Possibly caused by not being automatically light up unless the lights are turned on and they don't have incandescent bulbs that would raise the temp and dry them out. My tin tops have dash lights automatically and they are incandescent and don't mist up.

I was out for a good hour run this morning roof off about 8c but dry with clearish skies no warming heat from the sun, the heater was set to max heat but the blower was off, the one dial for water oil and fuel only misted up in the last 10 minutes or so of the journey only the oil and water sections misted up not the fuel, they are at the lowest level . The car had been in a cold garage for about a fortnight under a cover. I presume they are all electrical feeds to the dial in question..
