I agree with Peter. We saw a rack of Aero wings a few weeks ago, and it would be quite easy to fit standard PSIX front wings to that car to throw journalists off the scent.

I would think the same but then would Morgan sales people be ringing up following up on interest shown based on those photos?

Expect it will be pretty close to the pictures which is essentially an evolution of the midsummer I.e addition of weather protection and chassis tweaks. This also ties in with the feedback of people who have seen the car (Morgan have already shown the finished car to prospective customers)

TBH not surprising if you find that there was strong demand for the midsummer, why not carry on that theme.. also expect they will view it was a brake away from the trad body style of the plus six..

Surely the point of disguising a prototype is in case it gets photographed before you're ready to announce it? It reads like MMC has been driving it around to get papped but got fed up waiting. If you're going to release photographs yourself, show us the car!

That’s funny Ian, I chuckled to myself with a similar thought. Maybe I’m just getting too cynical in my old age

I hope they are testing the new Mog over a long enough distance to test the integrity of the radiator. If they have just been tootling it around Malvern they will have only been through two or three and might underestimate the stock levels required from launch!

I heard Jon Wells in an interview say how the new Morgan will be referencing or drawing design inspiration from classic British sports cars of the past.

At a guess this might be wing lights like the XK120 under the lumpy wrapping on the front wings. Other than that it’s er… er… very, very similar to a ….Morgan, just with a hard top and a boot

But why change, it looks great

I doubt they'd be able to have wing top lights that protrude anymore, as pedestrian crash tests outlawed these type of things a while ago...like sticky up mascots etc

JLR on a new Range Rover or Discovery (I forget which) was a lot more than 2 years ago.

I’m curious as to these lumps. What do you think? They look like wing lights to me

Those bulges look like Aero wings with round headlights added to deceive. Back in the day, a lot of camo cars had Styrofoam bulk added to disguise the shape.

And a camouflaged Audi blob still looks like an Audi. It might be amusing to get a camo wrap, and drive the armchair wannabes crazy.

The IN prefix (Ingolstadt) is the tell, they weren’t trying too hard to disguise it, my cynic self says it’s all part of the games car makers play🦓 and boy does this tease method work well QED laugh2
