Hi everybody,
any idea how to secure the bags on holidays trips? We will travel for two weeks through UK this summer.
I think, I read something about that topic some time ago.

There are various steel core lockable security straps available in varying lengths for modest prices. Here is one example.

As the core is of fine steel strands it's near impossible to cut through with hacksaw or bolt croppers. I found this out when shortening one of mine

We used 2 of these when we went to France, OEX 120l Cargo Bags.The integrated straps avoided needing bungees and for security we employed padlocked cables.

I use ‘Kanulock’ to secure our bags and boxes on the rack.
The advantage is that these lockable lashing straps are available in different lengths.
They have the same advantage, or should I say disadvantage, as Richard's recommendation: cutting or shortening is extremely difficult.

However, the coloured locks bother me a little but safety first.

We use one of these boot bags and we have steel straps as Richard suggests.

For short stops I just put a storm cover over the luggage. Longer stops if we can't unload I put the bags inside, and the storm cover over the soft top.

For those with CX-Morgans, be sure you have the reinforced brackets for your luggage rack!?😬 We use a more "modest" and lighter suitcase and use DaveW's procedure! The lockable security straps are a good idea though!
